Insulation

Insulation is an important part of your home energy-efficiency arsenal.  It’s not the only part, but it is vital. 

Insulation, whether traditional or high-tech, is what constitutes the "thermal barrier" of your home.  Most traditional insulations do not, however, constitute the "air barrier" of your home.  That's why Air Sealing is a critical part of any energy management strategy.

In fact, the new rebates available from Progress Energy for qualified energy efficiency improvements do not cover the addition of insulation unless air-sealing the "building envelope" is included as part of the package.

Many of the homes in Western North Carolina don't have enough insulation.  Some don't have any!  We've had customers who've lived in their homes for thirty years and never seen the inside of their attics.  And why would they?  We can look at the attic for them.  And we can look for you, too…

But, there are so many choices of insulations available today, it's practically impossible to know what's right for your home, and your health.

At Conservation Pros, we have access to every imaginable type of insulation, and have no contracts with any one product or distributor.  That means we can provide the product that meets your goals, not ours.

Conservation Pros takes a whole-house approach to diagnosing failures, or deficiencies, in the "thermal barrier" of your home.  Depending on your priorities, you may or may not need more insulation.  

One thing we will not do, however, is insist that you need to buy our product and get it in ASAP.  (We don't really need a new Bass Boat.)
